Course Description: The
ability to prepare and deliver an effective presentation is key to a
successful business career. As employees move from individual
contributors to managers, they are expected to make presentations to their
peers and superiors in a clear, concise, and organized manner. While
some individuals have an innate ability to stand in front of an audience,
for most individuals it is a difficult and anxiety-producing process.
This seminar covers the
basic elements of an effective oral and written presentation. You
will learn the basic elements of the communication process and how to
overcome the barriers to effective communication.
We will discuss what makes ideas stick and how to communicate your
message more effectively.
The seminar will also
explain the similarities and differences between oral and written
presentations. You will receive general guidelines for preparing
written presentations as well as how to organize, plan, and deliver an
oral presentation. You will learn how to keep those nerves under
control when presenting to an audience and tips for the preparation of
handouts and audiovisual materials.
