Lianabel Oliver
is a recognized expert in the field of cost management and management accounting. She has extensive industry experience in the areas of accounting and management. She was formerly Senior Controller for the Supply Base Management Division, and Controller, for the U.S. Service Division at Apple Computer in Cupertino, California. She also was an Accounting Manager at various divisions of Hewlett Packard Company where she was a member of the start-up team for their distribution facility in San Jose, California, and their manufacturing facility in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Ms. Oliver has also taught graduate and undergraduate accounting courses at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras
Campus. Currently, Ms. Oliver is President and CEO of Pathways PR, Inc.,
a company that provides training and consulting services in the areas of
management accounting, accounting processes, and general business
processes. Her client base includes Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit
organizations, and local manufacturing firms.
Ms. Oliver has participated as a speaker in national and international conferences over the years. In 2004, Ms. Oliver received the award of the Distinguished CPA of the Year in the area of Education from the Puerto Rico State Society of CPAs. In May 2002, she also received an award from the Angel Ramos Foundation at the United Way Annual Assembly for outstanding community service.

From Creation to Application and a contributor to the book The
AMA Trainers' Activity Book (AMACOM, 2004).
Ms. Oliver holds an MBA from Stanford University in California and a BA in Psychology and Administrative Sciences from Yale University in Connecticut where she graduated cum laude with honors in psychology. She is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. She is
a member of the Board of Directors of Asesores Financieros Comunitarios (AFC), a nonprofit organization that provides training and consulting services to nonprofit and community-based organizations. She was also Director of the Angel Ramos Foundation, a private not-for-profit foundation in Puerto Rico from 2003 – 2008.
